Security Screen Doors for Safe and Sound Stay at Home Mums (and dads)

Blog

Keeping your home safe and secure should always be your priority as a homeowner. This is especially true today with burglaries on the rise in Australian cities such as Melbourne and Perth. One worrying statistic is the 80% increase in burglaries that took place while someone was on the premises.

This is why it is important that you ensure your home is secure, even if there is someone home. Stay at home mums and dads need to be able to do their thing without having to worry whether someone might be trying to break in.

However, on particularly scorching summer days when your house feels like a furnace and the kids are getting irritable and flustered, the last thing you want is to be cooped up inside a house sealed off from the outside world. This is why security screen doors are the perfect way to both secure your home and add a little fresh air to your home on hot summer days.

Fresh Air on Hot Days

Even with the air conditioner pumping cool air into your home, it can get stuffy being cooped up inside all the time. You can open your windows to let fresh air in but unless you have security measures in place, your windows will be an invitation to any roaming burglars in the area. Installing a security screen door will mean that you can leave your front door open to allow for some fresh air to enter your home.

Runaway Toddlers

Toddlers are forever on the move. With that in mind you wouldn't dream of leaving the front door open no matter how hot it is indoors. With a security screen in place, you will no longer have to worry. Your toddler will also be able to enjoy the view and the fresh air while you scramble to get the laundry done.

Unexpected Visitors

Nowadays, an unexpected knock on the door always causes suspicion. A security screen door will provide an added barrier between you and your surprise visitor. You won't need to peek through the curtains to work out if it's just the postman dropping off a package when you have a security screen door in place.

Being able to leave your front door open to let the fresh air in means you can cut down on energy costs, keep your roaming toddlers from setting foot outside the front door, and keep a barrier between yourself and unexpected visitors.
